Reactive Contrasts Bowl

Description

This unusual bowl of English elm utilises my classic saucer shape giving the bowl some heft! The broad rim is partially treated with iron and copper reactive finishes yielding attractive rusty and turquoise tones. The remaining rim has highlights of gold gilt in the open grain. The whole rim has a satin finish, again to contrast with the highly polished dish and underside.
